December's Special Guest: Michael McGregor - songwriter, producer, and composer.

Michael McGregor is a powerhouse songwriter, producer, and composer whose work spans some of the most recognizable films, TV series, and trailer campaigns in entertainment. Splitting his time between Los Angeles and Nashville, he brings a global sensibility shaped by travels through Europe, Australia, North Africa, and Japan, layered onto the soulful instincts of his Louisiana upbringing.
His catalog moves fluidly between Soul, Pop, World, Cinematic, EDM, and Alternative, with hundreds of masters represented by leading companies including Universal, Warner, BMG, Sony, Position Music, APM, Riptide, Grooveworks, and Phantom Power. He also runs Popstart, a film/photography/content studio in Nashville.
Michael’s work can be heard across major studio films such as The Lost Daughter, Bombshell, Love Lies Bleeding, Sex and the City 2, Role Models, Bowfinger, and The Lazarus Effect. His trailer and promo credits include high-impact campaigns for Avengers, Wicked, The First Omen, Gravity, Stranger Things, Interstellar, Scream 6, Fantastic Beasts, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and top national brands like Taco Bell, M&M’s, Activia, and Reebok.

Popstart is a versatile creative studio in East Nashville built for visual storytellers, content teams, and artists who need a polished, flexible environment. The main gallery offers high ceilings, hardwood floors, and an open layout that adapts easily for photo and video shoots, small events, workshops, and branded content. A full cyc wall and greenscreen provide clean, professional backdrops, while a projector setup adds options for dynamic visuals. The space includes a lounge and kitchenette for longer sessions, straightforward load-in through a garage door, and dedicated podcast and editing rooms for creators working across digital formats. With reliable amenities and a layout that supports production from concept through post, Popstart gives Nashville’s creative community a functional, modern home base for creating and capturing their work.
