In celebration of St. Distaff Day (officially Jan 6), the Kittitas County Sheep Producers is hosting their third annual Wool 101 course on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Damman School in Ellensburg, WA.
This year we are focused on taking a raw fleece through the process of making yarn. A limited supply of spindles are provided to learn on and take home (youth will receive spindles ahead of adults). All ages are welcome to this fun educational event, but it is geared toward youth that have an interest in wool. 4-Hers and FFA sheep exhibitors are especially encouraged to attend! If you have a spindle and want to learn how to use it, please bring it and we will show you!
Also, our regular spin-in group will be meeting, answering questions.
