Curious about Girl Scouts?Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan is hosting a five-week starter series for kindergarten & first grade girls who attend Woodcrest Elementary and their caregivers.
During these meetings, a Girl Scout Staff Partner will guide the girls through hands-on activities that introduce them to the world of Girl Scouts, including earning badges, learning Girl Scout traditions, and making new friends.
While the girls are having fun, caregivers will see just how simple and rewarding it can be to lead a Girl Scout troop. The goal of this series is to transition the troop to volunteer leaders after the first five staff-led meetings.
You do not have to figure it out alone. We will help set you up for success with:
★ Step by step training and ongoing staff support
★ A free leader subscription box with supplies and meeting plans
★ Resources to make troop meetings simple, fun, and stress free
Because this is a parent participation model, caregiver attendance is required for all five meetings as we prepare to transition the troop to new leaders.
Meeting Dates: February 2, February 16, March 2, March 16, April 13
Time: 5:30 to 6:30 PM
Location: Woodcrest Elementary - Media Center
Girl Scouts is for every girl and financial assistance is available.
