Join us for Wood & Waves - a free nautical crafting workshop at the Charlestown Opening Event on 4th April! 🌊✨We’ll be running a relaxed, drop-in session in the Inner Harbour where you can create your own mini wooden crafts using timber reclaimed from the tall ship Kajsamoor, currently being recycled in Charlestown Harbour.
Led by local artists and model-makers Len and Didge Hatcher, this workshop is perfect for families, makers, and anyone who loves Charlestown.
What you can make:
🛠 Mini harbour houses
🎨 Painted fish
⛵ Simple wooden boat shapes
All materials are provided, and friendly guidance is available throughout - no experience needed. In the process you can learn more about the history of the harbour and it's ships from local historians and mariners and find out more about Porthmuer CIC.
