When we honour the dark and the power of dreaming, we give ourselves the gift of the return to our inner world, and the unconscious mind. Here we can find rest and regeneration on all levels of our being, and open ourselves to receive soul guidance for the coming year.
You are warmly invited to join us for an intimate soul-nurturing weekend in the beautiful valley of Cragg Vale near Hebden Bridge. We will be exploring the rich territory of Winter Dreaming in a ceremonial way. Saturday will be a day of personal ceremony and Sunday we will explore the art of dreaming. It is possible to come for one day only (see below for more information on each day's theme)
I will be sharing from a rich bundle of wisdom teachings and experience of dreaming. For eleven years now I have been following the winter dreaming ceremonial cycle of my Delicate Lodge medicine wheel tradition. Each year my notion of dreaming expands as I learn more about our mysterious dreaming consciousness from other earth based wisdom traditions of this and other lands. In my workshops and ceremonies I weave in stories of ancient goddesses like the Cailleach, the Celtic crone of winter, Inanna the Sumerian goddess who descended into the underworld and Brigit who sings up the land at Imbolc. I also share the inspiration of poets and mystics, and songs ancient and modern.
Practicalities:
Times: Saturday 9.30 am till 7.30pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
Food: We will provide teas, coffee, snacks and a vegan evening meal on Saturday. There will be lunch to share on both days.
Cost: Whole weekend £180. Saturday only £100 Sunday only £80

Programme details:
Saturday: 'Shield of the Year' and Fire Ceremony. This is an opportunity to look back on your life experience in 2024, the 'awake dream' , begin the harvest all its joys, sorrows and challenges and create a shield. Being present with death and decay in nature will help you see the parts of your inner and outer world that are calling to be appreciated, celebrated, grieved and surrendered. This contemplative work leads to a fire ceremony at dusk where you are invited to release what could have been, might have been, or should have been. In this way you empty out and create inner space, making yourself available to listen to guidance for your future direction as dreamers.
Sunday: the Art of Dreaming. We will open up the vast territory of our dreaming intelligence and I will share from my personal experience and knowledge gained from earth-based wisdom traditions. You will learn how to pay more attention to your night dreams, remember them better and see how they might inform the waking dream that is this reality. You will learn about the use of herbs for sleeping and dreaming, with particular focus on the magic of Mugwort as a dream ally. The day will end with the making (or re-making, if you have attended this workshop before) of a special dream bundle to help you align with your dreaming consciousness.
Attending this weekend is also a precious opportunity to join a group of women dreamers. We will follow the ceremonial cycle of the Dreaming Moons and meet for 10am to 5pm each day. Venue and these provisional dates are to be confirmed.

February 2nd : Light emerging, dream seeds stirring
March 2nd : Manifesting the Sacred Dream
April 6th: Dreams flow into the River of Life
