Women's Trap Shooting Class

Women's Trapshooting is a fast-growing sport that is popular all around the country. There are many clubs and competitions nationally and internationally, including the Olympics! Participants use a shotgun that, when fired, shoots a small cluster of metal pellets to break flying, circular, clay targets.

These targets are thrown from a machine in what is known as a "trap-house" - thus the name of the sport. The clay discs are thrown at different angles and heights in front of, and away from, the shooter which is what makes the event challenging and fun!

"Shooting trap" may seem difficult and even a little scary at first, but when you combine the right equipment with our experienced instructers, you may find yourself becoming a big fan of this sport. Our program is designed for both beginners and all levels of experienced shooters.

Bring your fellow women friends and family members to enjoy learning and playing together. If you're coming as an individual - welcome and hopefully we will all grow new friendships together!

All equipment is provided, just bring a hat and a smile!

Cost: $12 fee to offset our costs of supplies, door prizes, refreshments, etc. Only 24 spots available!

In respect to the Izaak Walton's Women Sharing the Outdoors (WSO) mission of female encouragement and involvement, this will only be available to female participants. Therefore, we welcome all women, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters alike, 18 years or older.
