Women's Tactical Retreat

This October, escape to the wild, mystic beauty of West Texas for a women's retreat that blends adventure, tactical training, and deep connection. Over three days, you’ll hike ancient terrain, learn real self-defense, and recharge with nourishing, chef-prepared meals—all while connecting to other women around the fire under vast desert skies.

Friday | Arrival & Connection

• 3–4 PM check-in
• Settle in, enjoy your first homemade meal, and relax by the fire
• Get to know your fellow retreat guests under the stars

Saturday | Desert Exploration & Off-Roading

• Morning hike through fossil beds and the fault line
• Spot desert wildlife and ancient natural formations
• Trail lunch + optional off-road ride across the property
• Return for a sunset meal by our camp chef
• Fire pit connection & games under the stars

Sunday | Tactical Training Day

• Learn real-world self-defense skills in a supportive environment
• Bring gear if you have it: glasses, ear protection, sunscreen
• Tactical demo and education with Kelly from K36 Consulting and Matt from Bonetti Explosives
• Full day of meals + final night around the fire

Monday | Coffee, Breakfast & Departure

• Slow morning coffee and group breakfast
• Final reflections + departure before noon

About Por do Sol Ranch
Tucked deep in the West Texas desert, Por do Sol Ranch is a fully off-grid sanctuary located just 27 miles north of Big Bend National Park. This remote retreat space runs entirely on solar power and harvested water, inviting guests to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with nature.

The rustic quonset-style lodge features 6 bunk beds and 2 king lofts (sleeps 16), a full kitchen, indoor showers, and a massive open-concept gathering space. Outside, a sprawling deck offers panoramic views—perfect for grilling, sunset watching, or stargazing under the vast desert sky.

Please note: to preserve the land and water supply, mindful usage is part of the experience.

Meet Kat—your host, guide, and chef. Born in Brazil and now a dedicated homesteader, she brings bold flavors, self-sufficiency skills, and heartfelt hospitality to every retreat. From leading hikes to serving up soul-warming meals, Kat makes sure every woman feels welcome, nourished, and inspired.

Kelly is a former U.S. Navy Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Technician. With almost a decade of experience providing subject matter expertise in:

Matt Barnett is the owner of Pôr do Sol Ranch and the founder of Bonetti Explosives. With years of hands-on experience in the industry, Matt has worked across a wide range of high-impact environments—including avalanche control, cave blasting, demolition, and more. His work blends precision, power, and deep respect for safety and the environment.
