EMAIL FOR REGISTRATION ♡♡♡Dear Sisters,
Feel most welcome to our WOMEN'S ONLY SWEATLODGE
These ceremonies often provide an opening to heal deeper in some ways, than when we are all gathered. Both women and men can carry wounds, trauma or fear of judgement, which is related to the opposite gender. In these women's or men's only ceremonies, the masks can get a break, and we can often dear to release in a different way.
Another powerful aspect of these ceremonies, is healing sisterhood or brotherhood wounds, by being real and vulnerable in a non-judgemental space. We love to facilitate these ceremonies, and we feel humble about the impact the can make!
The Women's only ceremony will be Marita's debut for the season. After snuggling with the baby for some months, it feels like the perfect time for her to jump back into the powerful womb, praying and giving to the great mother. After her fourth and most challenging freebirth, she feels more ready than ever, to kiss the earth in gratitude! And - the ceremony is just a few days away from Marita's birthday! What a celebration!
For this ceremony, she is supported by the one and only Me'Camilla on the fire. It is going to be a kick ass ceremony! We hope to see many sisters there!
Remember to register your participation, by sending us an email to this address: [email protected]
General info about the ceremonies:
________________________________
The Sweatlodge exist in various tribes and cultures around the world. In different traditions, the ceremony can take different forms and have a lot of variations to the details - but the goal is always the same: To heal, to give and to pray.
In the Sweatlodge, we get a moment of stillness, to connect with all what we are and all that surrounds us. We get time to connect to what really matters to us individually.
The physical lodge consists of a dome structure, covered with multiple layers of wool blankets. In the centre of the lodge is a hole, in which during the ceremony, we fill with glowing hot stones.
Throughout the ceremony, we pour water on the stones, which releases steam and minerals for our bodies to absorb.
Outside of the lodge, we have a big fire which is heating the stones for us, and a committed firekeeper whom is serving the ceremony.
During the ceremony we have four rounds, which we call "doors".
Each door symbolises one of the four of all that surrounds us. The four directions. The four elements. The four seasons. The parts of the moon cycle. The menstrual cycle. The four stages of life.
By passing through these 4 doors, we symbolically pass through a lifetime, and by the end we are reborn.
We stay inside the lodge for the duration of the ceremony, while singing, praying and listening. If one leaves the lodge during the ceremony, he/she can not re-enter.
While we are in the lodge, our one job is to surrender to the heat and to our individual process. We are guided by spirit, by the stones, the fire, our ancestors and the drum.
At moments we pray through sound, at moments we pray through silence. At all times, we pray through our bodies.
Important information:
• Daytime ceremonies:
This is a whole day event. The fire is lit at 11:00, and every participant needs to be present absolutely latest 12:30.
Expect to be occupied until 17:00, followed by a shared meal.
Anyone who wants to be present with lighting the fire, is most welcome to be present at 11. You will then get to put stones, with prayers, on the fire.
• Nighttime ceremonies: Starting time and lighting of the fire depends on the individual ceremony.
You will get info about this when registering for a night time ceremony.
• For women who are breastfeeding babies, you are welcome to participate with someone taking care of your baby outside of the lodge.
Though we do not reccomend to bring very young babies in the winter months, due to the outdoor temperatures. There is no indoor space in immediate access from the sweatlodge.
Breastfeeding mothers are the only ones who will be allowed to leave and re-enter the lodge, in the case their baby needs milk during the ceremony.
• Women in their bleeding phase can participate (with a tobacco tie around the waist), but needs to let us know before the ceremony, and latest at arrival to the location.
• There are limited spaces. Sign up is required.
• The financial contribution for the ceremony is based on a sliding scale. We ask that you contribute between 500-700 DKK. The intention behind the sliding scale is to make the ceremony available to varying levels of income. Payment can me made by mobilepay or cash.
• When signing up, please let us know of any relevant health conditions.
• All necessary info will be sent out by email approximately one week before the sweatlodge.
To sign up or for any questions, write us an email at: [email protected]
If you feel in your heart you want to participate, but there is something hindering you, feel welcome to contact us to see if we can find a suitable solution.
