Here's the 2025 WAF Tour Lineup:
"Sliding"
Filmmaker: Katie Tannenbaum, Matiss Spaile
Run Time: 4 minutes
A short mountain sports film showcasing the sledding sport of skeleton.
"It Will be Different for You"
Filmmaker: Megan Mayhew Bergman, Simon Perkins
Run Time: 18 minutes
Lea Davison has always found her power through riding a mountain bike. A two-time Olympian, and one of the most decorated American women in the sport, Lea knows the toil, pain, and commitment it takes to compete at the highest level. But behind the accolades, she views her relationship with mountain biking as a lifelong journey filled with thrills and heartbreaks, where she picked up pieces of herself along the way and eventually found unconditional love.
"Above Sinai"
Filmmaker: Kylie Zarmati
Run Time: 13 minutes
Follow along as we meet Sarah Sadek, Egyptian native and professional kiteboarder, at her home on the Sinai peninsula. In a world where women are not often found in athletic roles, nor in the water, Sarah shows us how she is opening the eyes of her local community and pushing the boundaries in a gracious yet badass way (and yes, the two go hand in hand!).
"Drawn In"
Filmmaker: Jessa Gilbert, Justin Taylor Smith
Run Time: 7 minutes 30 seconds
Jessa Gilbert is a backcountry guide and a visual artist who often gets asked how she works in such seemingly divergent fields. This film shows how the creative process, whether exploring glaciated terrain in Antarctica or creating a painting, is the same.
"Forward"
Filmmaker: Palmer Morse, Matt Mikkelsen, Rachel Weinberg
Run Time: 16 minutes
Anjelica Avella turned to the outdoors in her mid-twenties to improve her mental health. Despite feeling the benefits of time spent outside for her well-being, the lack of other plus-size women of color she was encountering on trail was noticeable. In an effort to form a community, Anjelica began leading weekend hikes and trips for other women who too were seeking others with shared lived experiences. Forward chronicles Anjelica’s perspective in a space that has historically excluded individuals like her and shares a profound connection between women who once felt sidelined and are now a catalyst for change.
"Wild Aerial"
Filmmaker: Trixie Pacis
Run Time: 16 minutes
"Wild Aerial" follows adventure aerialist Sasha Galitzki to dramatic ice-bound locations in Jasper and Banff National Parks as she overcomes extreme cold and dizzying heights to perform aerial, connect with nature, and draw attention to the beauty and fragility of Canada’s rapidly changing mountain landscapes.
"Dropping Molly"
Filmmaker: Cedar Wright
Run Time: 30 minutes
Follow Molly Mitchell's Roller Coaster Journey to climb "Crank-it" one of Colorado's most dangerous routes. After a back breaking fall on the climb, Molly faces her rocky mental health and embarks on a journey of therapy, self discovery, and growth. "Dropping Molly" is an unforgettable, heartbreaking, hilarious and heartwarming film. You will be on the edge of your seat as Molly is forced to ask herself, why do climbers risk their lives for a climb, is it worth it, and will she return to the climb that broke her back?
