Women in the Wild is a program designed to bring together women and, people from across the county, who are interested in learning more about outdoor recreational activities. Participants will learn useful skills from Park Rangers, guest speakers, and their fellow "women in the wild" while building a non-judgmental, beginner friendly community that will leave them feeling confident to take on the "wild" on their own.
Session 3 will be “Hiking 101."Hiking 101 will focus on those who are either just starting or interested in hiking but have little to no experience. Rangers will lead a 1 mile, easy hike on a paved trail, and discuss safety concerns, proper clothing and challenges beginners face.
