Great Lakes Aquarium is excited to partner with WDIO News for a highly-anticipated forecast forum! The free, after-hours event will focus on getting into meteorology as women in a male-dominated field, detailing how meteorologists forecast, and exploring both the broadcast and government career paths.
Guests are invited to explore the Aquarium’s exhibit floor before and after presentations.

Name: Sabrina Ullman
Title: WDIO Weekend Meteorologist / Multimedia Journalist
Field: Meteorology
Sabrina Ullman an AMS-Certified Meteorologist on WDIO, bringing expertise in a variety of weather phenomenon to the Northland. She joined the Storm Track Weather Team in May 2021 after graduating from the University of Miami with a B.S. in Meteorology and Broadcast Journalism.
Name: Lea Zmurko
Title: WDIO Storm Track Meteorologist / Good Morning Northland
Field: Meteorology
Lea Zmurko is the morning Meteorologist for Good Morning Northland on WDIO, bringing bright energy and clear forecasting to viewers across the region. She joined the Storm Track Weather Team in June 2024 after graduating from Penn State University with a degree in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science, where she also gained experience with the National Weather Service and multiple student forecasting programs.

All are welcome to join in on this presentation, explore a full after-hours exhibit floor, and enjoy local beer, wine, cocktails, and N/A offerings from the Aquarium’s full-service bar.
Admission and parking is free for event guests during this event.
Cash or credit accepted in the gift store and at the bar. Guests must be 21+ to consume alcohol.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16th, Great Lakes Aquarium will be offering complimentary parking TO EVENT GUESTS ONLY.
Overflow parking is available next door at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. Standard rates apply for DECC parking.
