The discussion will spotlight:

• Women’s leadership and career paths in the transportation industry.
• Current and past major projects and lessons learned.
• Professional challenges women face in leadership positions, including visibility and advancement.
• Strategies for supporting and retaining the next generation of women in transportation.

The panel features:

Haley Peckett, Deputy Director for Transportation Policy and Planning at Montgomery County Department of Transportation

Oluseyi Olugbenle, Deputy Director for Department of Public Works and Transportation at Prince George's County and the 2025 WTS-DC Chapter Rosa Parks Leadership Recognitions Award Winner

Elizabeth Gordon, Assistant Deputy Administrator for Planning and Programming at the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA)

This event will be moderated by Neela Babu, Director of the Office of Project Development and Delivery (OPDD) at the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT).

The event will be held at the Silver Spring Civic Center in the Great Hall South. Refreshments will be served.

Closest Metro Station is Silver Spring on the Red Line.
