Women for Progress of Mississippi, Inc. welcomes The Brownie Collective, the performing ensemble of the S.A.F.E. S.P.A.C.E. TheaterTherapy Foundation, as featured panelists for its September 2026 Lunch & Learn in recognition of National Suicide Prevention Month.
The program will feature a dramatic reading from “Somebody, Anybody, Listen!,” a powerful TheaterTherapy production that confronts teen suicide, emotional isolation, and the consequences that can occur when a young person believes no one is listening.
The presentation will also challenge parents, educators, mentors, faith leaders, and other concerned adults to recognize warning signs, listen without judgment, and become intentional advocates for young people.
The Lunch & Learn will reinforce a vital message: Young people should not have to reach a crisis before their voices are taken seriously. When adults create environments where youth feel seen, heard, believed, and supported, they help strengthen the protective relationships that can save lives.
This September Lunch & Learn is designed not only to increase awareness but also to encourage adults to examine how they listen, how they respond, and how consistently they advocate for young people
