About this Event
A conference on the links between the criminal justice system and domestic abuse
Location: The Council House, Old Market Square, Nottingham, NG1 2DT
The aims and objectives of the conference are:
- To raise awareness to the network of the links between domestic abuse and women entering into, and being affected by experiences of the criminal justice system
- To increase awareness of ways in which women within the criminal justice system are/ have been impacted by perpetrators of domestic abuse
- To increase awareness of the experience of Pr*son for women and the impact of this experience
- To improve understanding of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire's strategic response to women, domestic abuse and the criminal justice system
- To explore support options and services available for women
- To explore key good practice points and tools for services/ community groups to consider for use in their work
This session will mainly focus on women's experience of Pr*son, community services, domestic abuse and how they interlink.
About our trainers
The conference will include trainers from relevant local services, to be announced soon!
Our trainers here at Equation, have an extensive background in supporting survivors of domestic abuse in a range of specialist provisions, as well as supporting children.

PLEASE NOTE: : This training is being held face to face. Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you cannot attend the training.
If you are unable to attend due to sickness on the day please inform us by email. We are also able to accept an alternative delegate in your place - their name will need to be provided before the start of the session by email to [email protected].
Failure to attend without notice will be classed as no show. Your manager will be notified of your absence.

We are monitoring the attendance list and you will be asked to pay if you do not qualify for a free ticket.
