About the Show
Told entirely through song, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat reimagines the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, his eleven brothers, and—of course—the legendary coat of many colors. Guided by the narrators, the story follows Joseph’s journey from favored son to slave, prisoner, dream interpreter, and ultimately Pharaoh’s right-hand man in Egypt.
This high-energy musical is packed with unforgettable music and a dazzling variety of styles—from French ballads and country-western to calypso—featuring audience favorites like “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.” With its humor, heart, and toe-tapping score, Joseph is a joyful production that audiences of all ages will love.
Whether you’re a longtime theater supporter or joining us for the first time, this is a show you won’t want to miss. Join us in celebrating the talents of over 70 West Ottawa student performers and 45 more students working behind the scenes and in the pit orchestra for a colorful, feel-good night at the theater!
