**NOTE: The official time of events are still being determined, so stay tuned for further details!** The WO1 David G. Plasch Memorial Jamboree is a day of soccer, community, and remembrance honoring the life and legacy of WO1 David G. Plasch.
David’s life was shaped by teamwork, discipline, dedication, and heart — first as a four-year Varsity soccer player at Portsmouth High School, and later as a U.S. Army Blackhawk pilot who was killed in action during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. This event carries forward the same values he lived both on the field and in service to his country.
More than just a preseason tournament, the jamboree is an opportunity to bring student-athletes together through the sport David loved while celebrating sportsmanship, camaraderie, and community connection. Teams currently confirmed to participate include Dover, Marshwood, and Winnacunnet, with games and other events expected throughout the day.
Community support and donations help make the event itself possible — supporting tournament operations, team hospitality, and meaningful event elements that honor David’s legacy.
Any additional proceeds beyond event expenses will go directly to the David G. Plasch Aviation Scholarship Fund, helping continue his spirit of leadership, service, and opportunity for future generations.
