📅 Date: Saturday, August 22nd 2026
⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Location: Portsmouth High School, Portsmouth, NH
The WO1 David G. Plasch Memorial Jamboree is a day of soccer, community, and remembrance honoring the life and legacy of WO1 David G. Plasch.
David’s life was shaped by teamwork, discipline, dedication, and heart — first as a four-year Varsity soccer player at Portsmouth High School, and later as a U.S. Army Blackhawk pilot who was killed in action during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. This event carries forward the same values he lived both on the field and in service to his country.
More than just a preseason tournament, the jamboree is an opportunity to bring student-athletes together through the sport David loved while celebrating sportsmanship, camaraderie, and community connection.
⚽️ ABOUT THE JAMBOREE:
Participating high school teams include Coe-Brown, Portsmouth, Winnacunnet, Dover, and Marshwood, with each team guaranteed three games throughout the day.
The action begins at 9:00 AM and continues throughout the day across both fields, showcasing great competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
After an exciting slate of matchups, the top two teams in the standings will advance to the Championship Game at 1:20 PM.
✈️ ABOUT THE EVENT:
Community support and donations help make the event itself possible — supporting tournament operations, team hospitality, and meaningful event elements that honor David’s legacy.
Any additional proceeds beyond event expenses will go directly to the David G. Plasch Aviation Scholarship Fund, helping continue his spirit of leadership, service, and opportunity for future generations.
🪽 We are grateful to all who join us in remembrance, sport, and service as we continue building what we hope becomes a lasting tradition in David’s honor.
