The Richland Players invite you to join us for the Pulitzer Prize–winning play Wit, a moving and funny story full of moments that stay with you long after the final bow.Professor Vivian Bearing, Ph.D., has spent her life studying the tricky sonnets of John Donne. When she’s diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer, she meets it head-on, with her sharp mind and unflinching honesty.
As she goes through an experimental chemotherapy program, Vivian begins to rethink her life, her work, and the relationships she’s kept at a distance. Along the way, there’s humor, tenderness, and some hard truths about what really matters.
Wit is smart, human, and unforgettable. This is a play that makes you laugh, feel, and think—sometimes all at once.
