Chasing the Sun: A Dawn-to-Dusk Adventure in North WalesJoin us for an unforgettable day in the mountains as we follow the sun from its first light to its last glow! This epic adventure will take you across some of Snowdonia’s most iconic summits, combining breathtaking views, expert insights, and a true sense of achievement.
The Plan
Sunrise on Tryfan: We’ll set off before dawn and aim to greet the sunrise from the summit of this legendary peak.
Traverse the Glyderau: Continue the journey with an exhilarating route that visits five of the Welsh 3000s.
Sunset on Carnedd y Filiast: End the day in style, watching the sun sink into the Irish Sea from a remote summit.
Key Details
Distance & Elevation: Approx. 15 miles with 5,200 ft of ascent.
Duration: Around 12 hours on the hill, starting and finishing in low light.
Difficulty: No technical scrambling, but expect steep and exposed sections. A good level of fitness is essential.
Conditions: If snow and ice prevail, the event will be reassessed as this would require ice axe and crampons.

What to Bring
Warm layers, headtorch, and plenty of food and drink (a flask of hot cocoa is highly recommended!). A full kit list will be provided closer to the date based on forecast conditions.
