Join us as we celebrate the longest night of the year, marking the return of light and a special moment to gather with community.Join us on Saturday 20 June from 4.30pm to 7.30pm for a free, family friendly Winter Solstice celebration in the heart of Geelong West.
There’ll be free kids activities, lantern making, a lantern parade, artisan and community stalls, local musicians and performers, fire dancing, delicious food, hot drinks, damper making, Glitter Babe and a Sensory Sanctuary.
Bring a homemade lantern if you have one, or make one on the night and join the lantern parade as the park starts to glow.
You’re also welcome to bring a picnic dinner and rug, grab something yummy from the food stalls, or do a bit of both. Rug up, bring a reusable cup, and settle in for a lovely evening with neighbours, friends and family.
This year, we’re striving to make the event as low waste as possible, with support from Waste Free Events and a dishwashing station on site.
