Learn how to start seeds in containers this fall for a beautiful garden next year! Join the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Cumberland County at the Winter Seed Sowing event on Saturday, October 3, 11am-12pm, outdoors at the Adams Ricci Butterfly Garden near the Midway Pavilion at Adams Ricci Park located at 100 E. Penn Drive, Enola, PA 17025. This event is free to the public and all are welcome. No pre-registration required.

 

Discover an easy and economical way to expand your plant collection by starting seeds in plastic containers and allowing them to overwinter outdoors. Penn State Master Gardeners will guide you through the essential steps of plant propagation including seed selection, soil preparation, choosing the right containers, sowing techniques, and transplant care to ensure healthy growth. Tour the Adams Ricci Butterfly Garden and harvest seeds to take home.
