The Winter Field Day (https://winterfieldday.org/) event is a national event focusing on emergency operations, and also an oppourtunity to share the Amateur Radio hobby with the public.
We will be setting up at Regional Park in MWC with amateur radio equipment and making contacts around the country and world. The public is welcome. TWe will start setting up Saturday morning, operate during the day, through the night, and shut down Sunday afternoon.
We will be open to the public during the following hours:
Sat 1/24 1pm-8pm
Sun 1/25 8am-Noon
We will be offering an Amateur Radio test session from Sat 1/24 1pm-3pm. If you are interest please check here for more info: https://w5mwc.org/testing/
For anyone who wants to help setup, we will start at 10am on Sat 1/24. For teardown we will plan on shutting down starting at Noon.
If you are going to hang out a while, consider bringing a chair. We will have metal folding chairs available with preference given to operators, testers, and guests.
