In this workshop, participants will create a beautiful Cardinal ‘painting’ using wool. The final piece will be framed in a small wooden frame or hoop, perfect for home décor or as a gift.
Discover the art of ‘painting’ wool using a barbed needle. You will learn the techniques of needle felting with step-by-step demonstrations and one -to-one assistance.
This needle felting workshop is suitable for absolute beginners, for both adults and teenagers.
What is needle felting? It is creating art by repeatedly "poking" wool roving with special needles, until the fibers are entangled and felted. This is an ancient and fun art form that has been passed along through the ages! Needle felting is relaxing, therapeutic, and very portable.
No experience necessary. You do not have to be artistic, any one can needle-felt. Every class is for beginners and those who wish to improve their skills. New techniques are taught all the time in a friendly, fun and relaxing atmosphere.
This class is generally 2.5 to 3 hours depending on your pace. We don't mind if you are a slow "poke"!

Stacey of Poke-It Felting started playing with wool in 2001 and began sharing this mindful, creative craft as a needle-felting instructor a few years ago.
