About this Event
In this workshop, participants will create a beautiful Cardinal ‘painting’ using wool. The final piece will be framed in a small wooden frame or hoop, perfect for home décor or as a gift.
Discover the art of ‘painting’ wool using a barbed needle. You will learn the techniques of needle felting with step-by-step demonstrations and one -to-one assistance.
What is needle felting? It is creating art by repeatedly "poking" wool roving
with special needles, until the fibers are entangled and felted. This is an
ancient and fun art form that has been passed along through the ages!
Needle felting is relaxing, therapeutic, and very portable. No experience necessary! Great for beginners and experienced alike. Each class is fun and friendly! In this class you will create your own unique sculpture with embellishments and learn about the process of needle-felting and tools used.
There will also be kits and wool for sale.
This class is generally 3-3.5 hours depending on your pace. We don't mind if
you are a slow "poke"!
Material Fee:
The materials fee for this class is included for consumed materials and the
use of tools during the workshop. If you would to purchase tools such as a felting mat, other needles, more wool, etc. there will be time to purchase any tools you wish
to bring home after the workshop.
About Stacey Grant:
Stacey started playing with wool in 2001 when she was homeschooling
her young children. Now that they have grown and almost flung the coop

loves the therapeutic qualities and tactile nature of the craft. Investing in
time for yourself while creating beautiful and fun art is needed in today’s
busy world.
