Wines of the Adriatic Coast Wine Class
About this Event
Wines of the Adriatic Coast – Same Sea, Different Stories
The Adriatic Sea connects far more than it divides, and this class traces both of its shores. We'll taste through Italy's central coast, where Abruzzo and Le Marche have quietly been making some of the country's best-value wine for years, before crossing the water to Croatia and Slovenia, where the same sea and similar limestone soils produce wines built from grape varieties you won't find anywhere else — including techniques, like extended skin contact for white wines, that predate the current "orange wine" trend by decades.
It's a chance to taste three very different winemaking traditions shaped by the same sea, and to see how much they still have in common — cooling breezes, mineral-driven soils, and a shared instinct for wines that over-deliver relative to their price.
Diana Schultz, winemaker at Augustina Cellars and Living Room BFF, is back to lead the class. Her sessions are relaxed and hands-on, more conversation than lecture, and they've sold out every time we've run one — so grab your seat early.
