Wine Masterclass, optional dinner. Wine to take you through Christmas Day

Welcome to our fantastic and infamous wine and food event. This one is going to be a little different from the norm. We are presenting to you a selection of 6 premium wines to get you through Christmas day. Starting with a sparkling for your morning, 2 whites and 2 reds for you dinner and a sweet wine for your dessert.

This month the wine is from around the world. The optional food is a deconstructed version of an Argentinian Christmas dinner, by our wonderful Argentinian guest chef, Romina Vazguez.

As regulars will know, the event is normally hosted by Charlie, he has been busy opening up Charlies Drink Store in Stoke Newington, so this month the wine Masterclass is presented by the fab Alix. You will not be disappointed!

Alix spent formative years in France and began her love of wine early with a glass of Muscadet in hand sitting on a Breton quayside. From there she fuelled her passion working in wine bars and exploring as much of their lists as possible.

After a stint as a cellar hand in South Africa, she returned to London to complete her studies with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust before achieving the WSET Diploma in Wines & Spirits in 2019. She continued to become an Italian, French & Spanish Wine Scholar.

One of her favourite achievements was the wine bar & restaurant she owned and ran in northeast London for over six years. The concept was Galician, with a hearty nod to northern Spain in general. Great excitement came in having her own wine list to curate.

Alix currently teaches wine qualifications around London, for WSET School London, West London Wine School and Liberty Wines.

An informal and exciting wine masterclass featuring six premium wines from around the world. Presented by Alix, with guest chef Romina Vazguez

There are two tickets:

Masterclass £20.00 per person, 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Two-course dinner £18.00 per person, 7:45pm to 10:30pm

Communal two-course dinner, with glasses or bottles of the wines featured in the Masterclass from £6 per glass

A Note from Firepit.

We have a challenge 25 policy. So please bring ID that proves you are over 18, if you are lucky enough to look under 25!

Masterclass starts at 6:00pm, you are welcome to come earlier and enjoy the gallery space.

Photography and Filming take place during workshops and gallery opening times. Please let us know if you do not want to be on film. All material captured is used for either our social media or future promotion.

Firepit is a unique space, we have a gallery of beautiful and relevant art, artist studio spaces and a community event space. We will hold the wine tasting on a large communal table, next to the windows. You are in the heart of the gallery here and are surrounded by inspirational art.
