An event that changed the world of wine forever!In 1976 an British wine merchant, Steven Spurrier, wanted to see what would happen if the biggest names in French wine and gastronomy tasted BLIND the legendary wines of Burgundy and Bordeaux against their California counterparts. The results have shaped the world of wine ever since and opened the doors for a whole new global wine industry.
We are going to discuss not only what happened, but the impact of one of the greatest days in wine history which shocked the world. We will taste a Burgundy vs Sonoma wine and Bordeaux vs Napa wine and also break down these historic regions.
