On 23 February, the 2nd edition of the WINE+DESSERT Pairing Contest will take place in Riga, Latvia! It is a spectacular event where pastry chefs team up with sommeliers to create a match made in heaven.

WHEN: 23 February, 14:00 (the event will take 3-4 hours but the visitors are easy to come and go as they please)

SPECTATORS
Food, wine, and restaurant lovers can come, watch the event live, support their favourites, and even try some of the creations. Tickets will be announced soon.
TEAMS
Restaurants, pastry chefs, sommeliers, home bakers, bakeries - all are invited to register and participate.
During the contest you will have 1 hour to plate your desserts, 10 min to serve it to the jury and present the pairing with wine in a few sentences on stage.
Team places are limited so please don't wait until the deadline to register. Even if you don't know your dessert or wine yet - you will be able to change it until one week till the contest.

GOAL
The project’s goal is to encourage cooperation and creativity between chefs and wine experts, to promote dessert culture, and to reduce the stigma surrounding all things sweet.
The desserts presented at the championship often find their way onto the menus of the country’s top restaurants, available for tasting throughout the year, while the winners’ lists are covered by the media and online.
