Handwoven Willow Garden Trug — Two-Day Workshop
Create a beautiful, functional garden trug from scratch using traditional willow weaving techniques. Over two full days, you'll learn to weave a classic garden trug measuring 18.5" long × 10" wide × 8" high — sturdy enough for harvesting vegetables, gathering flowers, or carrying tools around the garden.
This workshop is perfect for both newcomers to basketry and experienced weavers looking to expand their skills. You'll work step-by-step through the complete process, using a pre-formed hoop frame, to fill-in the sides and add a handle, guided every step of the way.
All tools and willow materials are provided — just bring yourself and a willingness to get your hands a little sore!
By the end of the weekend you'll head home with a handmade trug that's as practical as it is beautiful, plus new techniques and a community of fellow makers to keep you inspired.

Two-day workshop, 10am to 5pm (Sunday may finish earlier depending on how speedy our weavers are!)

Finished trug size: 18.5" × 10" × 8"
Some hand strength is required.
What's Included All tools, aprons, and towels are provided. A charcuterie-style lunch and beverages will be served both days. Weather permitting, we'll move some sessions out to the patio. Lodging is not included.
We can't wait to make something with you. Ages 14+. Weavers of all levels are welcome. Each class is limited in size to 10 participants. Bring a friend!

We work to balance our need to prepare for a class with students’ busy schedules — not an easy task. We are unable to refund cancellations with less than 4 days notice.
