Back by popular demand- The Farmer’s Market Basket!!! This was designed by Shannon to be a real work-horse! (We've heard you can carry up to 27 paperbacks at a time! ) Originally designed for a workshop series sponsored by a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, this piece is a fan favorite. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the making of a filled woven base, weaving with flat and round reed, and twining. The final step will be to create lovely wrapped handles.
Shannon will also be sharing basketry techniques and some experiences learning basketry. This class is 10 hours in total, expect to stay the entire time.
This design includes doubled-up handles that run through the body of the basket to support additional weight in shopping, harvesting, or storing your knitting!
