Wildlife Warriors: Wild Harvest Gathering
Step into the role of a true Wildlife Warrior and discover how to live in harmony with the land. In this immersive, hands-on class, students learn how to design and build a thriving food forest while exploring the rich world of wild edibles, native plants, and sustainable living.
Participants will plan and create their own food forest systems, gaining practical gardening skills rooted in permaculture principles. Through guided exploration, they’ll learn how to safely identify and responsibly forage for wild foods, deepening their connection to the natural environment.
The experience continues beyond harvesting—students will practice primitive cooking techniques, transforming gathered and homegrown ingredients into simple, nourishing meals over fire. Along the way, they’ll explore the importance of native plants, ecosystem balance, and how thoughtful land stewardship supports both people and wildlife.
Perfect for curious learners and outdoor enthusiasts, this class blends adventure, science, and real-world skills—empowering students to grow, gather, and thrive in the wild. This program is designed for students aged 7+. Students should bring a lunch and water. This class is all outdoors so please dress accordingly.
