Wildflower Hike With We Explore Earth @ Santiago Oaks

Save Orange Hills and We Explore Earth will go in search of phacelia, chia, mariposa lilies and many other seasonal flowers. Stop frequently to learn basic botany skills to help with identification. Chance of seeing cool birds, pollinators, reptiles and other wildlife. Bring a field journal, camera, iPhone with iNaturalist app to assist with identification. Wear layered clothing and sun protection. Carry water and snacks.

DIFFICULTY: Moderate. 4-5 miles round-trip. Between 800 and 1000 feet of elevation gain. Dirt fire road and single track trail. Uneven terrain. Mostly full sun exposure.
