We are inviting you to our Wilder Schools 2025 Conference. An opportunity to learn, share knowledge and experiences and network.
About this Event

The Wilder School Conference is part of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wilder Schools programme. The conference is designed for our wilder school leaders, but also we welcome those not wilder schools to share and learn knowledge and experiences to support their school journeys in connecting our young people to nature and making the most of our outdoor spaces for learning.

We hope the conference is an opportunity to be inspired and take action in school. A great CPD for staff leading the sustainability and outdoor provision in school.

Programme of workshops to choose from and details TBC but will include:

  • Making space for nature- management and creating habitats for nature to be used as a learning resource. Small and larger scale ideas.
  • Making the most of resource and staff with limited budget and time
  • A year of outdoor learning- what does it look like? Discuss and learn how to make outdoor learning part of a full academic year.
  • Natural play and how to make spaces accessible in a safe and controlled way
  • Curriculum lessons with supportive templates to help plan your lesson including Maths, English, Science, Art, Geography and History.
  • Making nature a theme that threads through multiple curriculum subjects giving an in depth learning opportunity and understanding around real life conservation and environmental topics.

All attendees will recieve a follow up resource pack that links up to the worshops from the conference.
