Wild Words
About this Event
About the Activity!
Is it true that only frogs sit on logs, and cats sit on mats?
How many syllables are in a haiku?
What does the word Alpenglow mean, and does anything rhyme with it?
Inspired by books like Oi Frog and The Lost Words we'll answer some of these questions and have a go at writing some of our own poems, spells or short stories in the woods!
Important Information
Adults must attend with the children, and be responsible for them at all times - you must stick together for the whole activity!
Activities are free for everyone, though spaces are limited to minimise disruption to the woodland habitat. We have two timeslots to spread the number of people onsite at once - please try to stick to your allocated timeslot on the ticket.
Our activities are designed to take place outdoors, so wrap up warm or wear suitable sun protection.
Please let us know if you are unable to make it so we can offer the space to others.
There will be drop-in spaces available on the day, so even if the activity is fully booked online - come along and we'll squeeze you in.
