Wild Wonders Painting Class: Double Feature MS Map Turtles Session 1Connect with art and science at MDWFP’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science in Jackson with this series of painting classes for teens and adults led by local artist and Pacesetter Gallery owner Keri Davis.
This Saturday is our first Double Feature! We are offering two separate classes Saturday September 6 back-to-back with an hour in between for a lunch break (a double feature!) purchase a ticket for both classes or take just one class morning or afternoon.
This ticket is for the morning MS Map Turtles 8”x8” painting class. This one hour class from 10:00-11:00 am includes creating MS Map Turtles with acrylic paint and learning how ro add textured mediums to create turtle shells and bark in this painting. Meet the turtles and enjoy this fun painting class and animal encounter!
Tickets are also available the same day from 10:00-11:00 PM (while supplies last) for the Barred Owl painting class where you will paint an 8”x8” canvas and meet our owl Griffin. This class will include textural medium in the feathers and layering techniques.
Artist/teacher Keri Davis has 30 years experience in teaching and creating art and is looking forward to painting with you.
Cost for this class: $22 per person and is limited to 26 participants.
What to Expect:
This class is appropriate for all skill levels age 12 through adult and includes Museum admission plus all materials and instruction.
