Dublin's art rockers WIFESWAP are coming to Galway for their first headline show upstairs in Roisin Dubh, along with Galway's Big Nothing!
About this Event

WIFESWAP is the project of Offaly native Joe Brody, based in Dublin. The band have recently put out a new EP recorded by Michael Bell in Start Together Studio (Belfast), and they have supported local legends such as Yard and Nerves, as well as international heroes like Pete Doherty (The Libertines) and Been Stellar.
The band consists of Joe Brody (vocals, guitar, songwriting), Jasper Ryan (guitar), Cian Bates (bass) and Lorcan Connolly (drums), all from different parts of the country, finding their way together in college. Their lead single, ‘Inertia’ speaks about isolation and loneliness, with dissonant guitars and a spoken-word delivery. Their 7’’ double A- side record “Spiritus Mundi/Happy Days”, which was accompanied by a sold-out Whelan’s upstairs show, is a testament to their DIY ethos and electric live sound.Combining art rock and literary influences, WIFESWAP debuted in October 2022 at a sold- out Workman’s Cellar gig. Since then, they’ve taken to the main stage at Whelan’s Ones to Watch festival and multiple times at The Workman’s Club bank holiday events curated by Trevor Dietz (Manager, Fontaines D.C.), carving their niche in the independent Dublin scene. @wifeswapband on social media.

BIG NOTHING Hailing from Galway, three-piece alt-rock group Big Nothing have been making a name for themselves across the Irish music scene. Known for their raw, high energy shows and a sound that blends modern hooks with 90s grunge, prepare for a fresh noise sharpened by the West coast.
