Widow & Friends! is a fundraiser show to raise support for Joanna Lowe who is bringing her true-to-life one-woman show, "Widow," to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August. Join us for a one night only performance of Widow, joined by Zach Funk's insightful comedy and evocative music by Zack Weiss.

Widow: An original performance piece of real-life loss and grief, Widow delves into subjects often considered too delicate or uncomfortable to tackle. To avoid the isolation that can result from a well-intentioned hands-off approach—for the grieving party and their supporters—Widow instead offers unfiltered perspective into the author's experience. Through longing and laughter, through humor and heartache alike, the piece sheds light on the unique and horrific realities of grief and loss, with insights for the audience on how to navigate trauma for themselves and those they love. Widow helps to connect understanding with grief, building bridges across unspeakable subjects.
Zach Funk is a Pittsburgh based stand up comedian and storyteller who has performed in festivals across the country. Funk brings his heartfelt and nerdy sense of humor to the stage and hopes that after seeing him you’ve not only laughed but feel a little less alone too. Named Best Local Stand Up in the 2025 Pittsburgh City Paper readers poll Funk released his first album “Brains Are Weird” in 2019 and in 2026 released “AGENT OF FARCE” on Burn This Records
