Carys Barton is Heart Failure Nurse Consultant and Chair of the British Society for Heart Failure, where she became the first non-medic elected to the role. A nationally recognised clinical leader, she has played a significant role in shaping heart failure policy, education, and service development across the UK. Her interests include integrated heart failure care, supportive and palliative care, workforce development, and reducing inequalities in access to diagnosis and treatment. Carys is an award-winning nurse leader, educator, and advocate for improving outcomes for people living with heart failure.
