Calling all schools, businesses, public sector and charities! Join us in person to connect, learn, and be inspired at Leadership Matters
About this Event

Leadership Matters: for established leaders, aspiring leaders and leadership teams within schools, businesses, public sector and charities. Learn from established and prominent leaders, keynote speakers and panel discussions. Help to determine the agenda for the day by discussing your own leadership issues and generating collaborative solutions.

A conference designed to help delegates to navigate the many professional challenges, personal stresses and often intense demands of modern day leadership.

Network with leaders from your own field and from those working in other sectors. This kind of cross-collaboration can be of immense benefit in understanding and developing your own ethos, learning new strategies and fostering leadership talent within your organisation.

Finally, join the celebration dinner to highlight great leadership and help raise vital funds for Friends of the Cancer Centre. All conference proceeds go to this most worthy Northern Ireland charity.

Ticket price: £350: includes full day conference, lunch and refreshments, PLUS evening wine reception, dinner and top class entertainment.

For the day-conference only: £250

(Approx. 8% booking fee is charged by EventBrite. Unfortunately this is outside our control)

For those wishing to stay overnight, a special delegate room rate of £150, which includes breakfast, has been negotiated with the Europa Hotel. (Contact hotel to book, and quote Leadership Matters Conference to avail of offer. Early booking advised!)

Payment is online, by card only. Delegates from schools can be reimbursed from their TPL budget via an expenses claim via iProcurement. If you choose to stay overnight at Europa Hotel, payment can also be reimbursed as a legitimate conference expense. Similar facilities exist for businesses and other public bodies with staff development/training budgets. For more information, please email us: [email protected]

Conference content will include material exploring many of the challenges facing leaders in the contemporary workplace, including:

  • Navigating rapid change, fostering employee engagement, developing teams and building resilience
  • Managing high pressure, preventing burnout, retaining staff and developing talent
  • Balancing high-intensity daily operation with the need to plan, strategise and maintain a positive interpersonal climate
  • Use of AI for acceleration and decision-making whilst retaining high quality human interaction
  • Developing self and others, including awareness of diversity, well-being, and maintaining work-life balance
  • Managing hybrid working patterns, virtual meetings, remote teams and cultural differences
  • Conflict resolution, conflict avoidance and working on the profoundly human skills of negotiation, compromise, self-management and self-development.
