We’re turning the museum into a forensic lab! Students will become wildlife detectives as they dissect owl pellets, identify prey remains and reconstruct an owl’s meal. This hands-on investigation brings food chains and predator-prey relationships to life while introducing students to the owls that live right here in Will County. This is an opportunity for homeschooled or remote learning students to experience Isle a la Cache’s programs that are normally only offered to school groups.
Fee: Free!
Age: Ages 7-12. Students must be accompanied by a chaperone.
Registration required by Friday, Oct. 30, by calling 815-722-9301 or online: https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/fpdwc/activity/search/detail/10252?onlineSiteId=0&from_original_cui=true
Limit of one owl pellet per registered student.
Isle a la Cache Museum is an accessible facility. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information/request-accommodation-inclusion-service/) no later than 48 hours before the program.
