Who Did You Need To Become?
We all develop ways of being in the world that once made sense.
Perhaps you became -
The strong one.
The good girl.
The achiever.
The peacekeeper.
The one who looks after everyone else.
The independent one who doesn’t need anyone.
These identities and patterns aren't something to judge or get rid of.
Often, they began as intelligent adaptations to the experiences and environments we moved through.
At this Red Tent circle, we’ll explore the beliefs, identities and adaptations that have shaped who we think we are, and what might be possible when we create space between who we’ve learned to be and who we truly are.
Through reflection, experiential practices and shared conversation, this will be an opportunity to get curious about the stories we carry, recognise the wisdom in our adaptations, and reconnect with something deeper beneath them.
Who did you need to become?
And who might you be without needing to be her anymore?
A nourishing, participatory circle for women to reflect, share, listen and perhaps remember a little more of who they are.

About Red Tent Aotearoa
"What women want is CONNECTION.
Not on a superficial level, but a REAL connection and support."
~Jill Natalia (RTA founder)
The Red Tent is a place for women to feel that connection and to offer and receive that support.
We want to help women to free themselves from the isolation of today’s modern world and find their tribe.
Red Tent Aotearoa has the aim to connect, collaborate, and create a community of strong and educated women in a supportive & nurturing environment.
We establish community networks and support between women by hosting local gatherings, and events in what we call 'Red Tents.'
Red Tent Aotearoa is not religious, and we invite anyone who identifies as female from 11 years + from all walks of life.
It’s our hope for everyone who enters each Red Tent to experience a sense of belonging, sisterhood, and strength that stays with them from then on.
Included with your ticket purchase is a welcome cup of ceremonial cacao from The Cacao Ambassador.
If the cost is prohibitive please get in touch.
Space is limited, so please register via Humanitix or email for bank details, so we can plan for your arrival.

*What is the Red Tent and what do you do there?
The Red Tent movement is worldwide and stemmed from the book The Red Tent written by Anita Diamant.
Red Tents are spaces created by women, for women to come each month and share their stories, relax, feel nurtured, seen, and heard.
There is nothing required of you and the main goal is for you to relax, recharge and reset. Each month at Red Tent Aotearoa is different, we invite a different woman to share her story, experience and interest with us so that we all can learn and become more confident in our own story.
Some of our themes in the past have been; The Power of Pleasure, The Power of Identity, The Power of Grief, The Power of Menstrual Cycle Awareness, The Power of the Spoken Word, The Power of Positive Touch, and The Power of Humility.
Our belief is that 'Power-with' instead of 'Power-over' will change the world (and as such, topple the patriarchy)
*Who is the host and why does she do this?
We have many Red Tent Aotearoa trained facilitators across the country.
Each Red Tent is hosted by someone different. This Circle will be facilitated by Cecile Dransart from Aligned Holistic Coaching- https://alignedholisticcoaching.com/
*What do I bring?
Please bring a snack to share, and a journal to capture aha moments and your water bottle. Some warm socks in winter and maybe even a blankie so you can be cozy. Bring an open heart and a longing for connection.
*Do I need to print my ticket?
No, we will have a list of attendees and will have already made space for you in our hearts.
*What type of women come to Red Tent?
Women from all age groups, all backgrounds, beliefs, and countries. Women who are ready for a shift, women who are tired of the status quo, women who want deeper connection to themselves and others.
*What time do I arrive?
Please arrive at 2:45 pm to be settled, with your cuppa by 3 pm. We will close the circle at 6pm but you are invited to stay and chat until 6:15pm
