On Earth Day, the Whitestown Parks Department invites you to help us enhance the beauty of Whitestown by planting trees with us! We will be planting trees on the Big 4 Trail (off of 575 East behind Fire Station 271) AND at Gateway Park (6150 Gateway East Dr.) at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22.On the Big 4 Trail we will be adding to the stand of trees from last year's event with 30 Bur Oak trees (Quercus Macrocarpa) and we are expanding to a second location this year to plant 10 Hackberry trees (Celtis Occidentalis) at Gateway Park!
Everyone is welcome to participate! Volunteers will be assisting the Whitestown Parks Maintenance Team in planting trees that are non-invasive to the existing ecosystem. Please bring any shovels, gloves, and other supplies to assist in planting the trees.
