Whiskey & The Blues - An American Night
About this Event
Hosted by Matt Chambers and Karen Taylor, whisky influencers and co-founders of North London Whisky Club and Whisky For Everyone website, with music throughout the event by duo Mess of Blues AKA Graham Hinton and Tom Brundage..
Join us for a special evening of Americana that celebrates Thanksgiving and America's 250th anniversary. The event blends a tasting of different American whiskey styles including bourbon, rye and single malt, with the evocative tones of blues music.
We will journey through both the history of American whiskey (in six drams) and blues music (in between the drams) from their origins to the modern day.
The tasting will take place upstairs at The Grafton, a fabulous pub in Kentish Town, NW5.
The Grafton is just 8-10 minutes walk from Kentish Town (Northern Line / High Barnet branch) and 12-15 minutes walk from Chalk Farm (Northern Line / Edgware branch) underground stations. Kentish Town West (London Overground / Mildmay Line) is just 2-3 minutes walk away. Several local bus routes also stop nearby - routes 46, 88, 134, 214 and 393.
The event will last approximately two hours.
Please feel free to arrive early for a pre-tasting drink or bite to eat. However, we politely ask that you do not order food to consume during event. Please eat before or afterwards.
No previous whisky knowledge needed, just enthusiasm and interest.
Strictly over 18s only. Please bring ID if you are lucky enough to look close to that age as we operate under the Challenge 25 scheme.
