When Silence Speaks
About this Event
A multimedia artistic performance exploring human rights, war and the power of the human voice
On 12 December 2026, DOVIRA presents When Silence Speaks, an artistic performance as part of the Human Rights Festival in Glasgow.
Music, dance, text and video projections come together in a powerful stage production exploring human dignity, loss, memory, resistance and hope.
Through live string music, expressive movement, documentary and artistic texts, and visual storytelling, the performance brings attention to the lives of people whose voices too often go unheard: Ukrainian prisoners of war, missing persons, their families, and all those whose lives have been changed by war.
Featuring Dusha Duo, Ansemble Quartet and dancer Maria Banakh, the performance weaves music, movement and visual storytelling into one artistic narrative. Music gives voice to what words cannot express, dance conveys the emotions that often remain unseen, and video and text bring real human stories closer to the audience.
When Silence Speaks is more than a performance. It is a space for remembrance, empathy and reflection on what human rights mean in the lives of real people.
DOVIRA invites you to share this experience, listen to the stories that must not be forgotten, and reflect on the importance of human dignity, freedom and solidarity.
