What's Medicine Really Like?

The primary goal of this event is to provide medical students with accessible, honest insights into surgical careers, while fostering direct engagement with clinicians in a supportive and interactive environment.

This 2-hour event includes a 60-minute industry panel followed by 60 minutes of structured networking.

The panel will bring together 5–6 surgeons from diverse specialties, offering practical insights into surgical pathways, career progression, and life in the field. Guided by focused, curated questions, the discussion will be dynamic, interactive, and high-impact.

The networking session will use a structured rotation format, enabling students to connect with different surgeons in small groups. This ensures meaningful conversations, equal access to all panellists, and the opportunity to gain personalised advice.
