"May the times we choose to help others, live on - beyond the chances we never take." - Edward Lewis

About the Author

Edward Lewis, LMT, MTI, Wellness Specialist, has more than 16 years of hands-on experience helping people better understand their bodies and move with greater ease. Specializing in myofascial release, posture, and ergonomic improvement, Edward combines practical bodywork with education in body awareness, movement, and injury prevention. Through his practice and workshops, Edward has seen how everyday habits, from the way we sit and stand to how we breathe, sleep, work, and manage stress, can gradually shape how we feel. His approach is not simply about relieving pain, but about helping people recognize their body’s patterns and develop a lifelong relationship with their own well-being. What My Hands See grew from that philosophy: the body is always communicating, and learning to listen may be one of the most powerful forms of self-care.

Acknowledgments

To my friends, family, and loved ones,

Thank you for your steady positivity, encouragement, motivation, and accountability. Your support has meant more than you know, and this book would not have been possible without you.

To all of my clients/patrons,

Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for allowing me to practice, to learn in real time, and to walk alongside you in your pursuit of better health and well-being. Every session taught me something new. Your stories, your challenges, your progress, and your willingness to grow have shaped not only my understanding of the human body, but also the person, practitioner and teacher I continue to become.

Many of you encouraged me to finish this work. Some of you reminded me week after week. Others simply believed in me when I needed it most. Your kindness, patience, and accountability helped bring these pages to life. This book belongs to every lesson we learned together.

Thank you.

Edward

Synopsis

After almost two decades of practicing as a licensed massage therapist, I noticed that most people weren't injured because of one major event. They were unknowingly creating pain through small daily habits-how they sat, stood, breathed, slept, worked, drove, and managed stress.

"What if I told you that most pain isn't created overnight-it develops from thousands of tiny habits repeated every single day?"

Learn how to recognize those habits before they become chronic pain. Using simple body awareness techniques, posture education, breathing, movement, sleep, and stress management, readers learn how to work with their hodies instead of against them.

"It's less about fixing people and more about helping them understand the incredible body they've had all along."

Edward teaches readers how to recognize patterns and replace them with healthier ones.

It's part posture guide, part wellness manual, and part mindset shift.

"My goal isn't just to help people hurt less today, but to help them develop a lifelong relationship with their bodies so they can move, work, and live with greater ease."

"This book is about something I believe we've lost in modern life -our awareness of our own bodies"
