Patient-Centered
Practice Satisfaction with the Periodontal Endoscope
About this Event

Periodontal therapy has traditionally relied on scaling and root planing, followed by surgical intervention when nonsurgical treatment does not achieve the desired results. Periodontal endoscopy offers clinicians another option by providing direct visualization of the subgingival environment, allowing for more precise treatment while maintaining a minimally invasive approach.

In this course, Dr. Eduardo R. Lorenzana will explore how periodontal endoscopy can extend the effectiveness of nonsurgical therapy, improve treatment outcomes, and provide patients with an evidence-based alternative to traditional surgical access. Attendees will also learn how incorporating this technology can enhance the patient experience, increase practice efficiency, and support practice growth.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to:

  • Discuss why complete disruption and removal of subgingival calculus remains the gold standard of periodontal therapy.
  • Explain how direct visualization of the root surface enhances closed intrasulcular debridement and extends the effectiveness of nonsurgical periodontal therapy.
  • Identify ways periodontal endoscopy can improve patient satisfaction, generate referrals, and enhance practice efficiency.
