Climate change is affecting more than just our environment. It can shape our sense of belonging, to a place and to one another.
About this Event

Even when we're surrounded by people, we can still feel lonely.

WHAT CONNECTS US is a participatory pop-up exhibition that explores connection, belonging, and resilience in the face of climate change. The exhibition presents the outcomes of an intergenerational dialogue between older adults living in Berlin and young migrants, bringing together their experiences, perspectives, and creative responses to some of today's most pressing social and environmental challenges.

Through conversations, drawings, and written reflections, participants reflected on themes of climate change, loneliness, community, and what it means to feel connected. These collective contributions now form the heart of this public exhibition.

The exhibition invites visitors to engage with stories and creative expressions that highlight both shared challenges and collective strategies for building more connected, climate-resilient communities in Berlin.

Whether you're interested in intergenerational exchange, care about climate justice and resilient cities, or simply want to connect with others through art and dialogue, this exhibition offers a space for reflection, inspiration, and community.

Join us to explore what connects us—and discover how we can build stronger bonds across generations, cultures, and experiences.
