Dear Friends of Casket Cinema,This March, Casket Cinema remixes it's schedule and showcases Mark Wojahn’s documentary series WHAT AMERICA NEEDS. Wojahn has traveled thousand of miles across the country, multiple times and has produced, directed and recorded two films on the subject. This show at Casket Arts will showcase the short film he co-directed with Matthew Bakkom in 1995, An Interior Expedition and excerpt his feature length work, From Sea to Shining Sea, that City Pages named Best film of 2003. The gallery walls will feature portraits of participants. Special guests will be Matthew Bakkom, Mark Wojahn and others TBD. A post film salon will invite the audience to comment on these films and answer What They Think America Needs now.
This program will play on March 12th at 8pm. The Cinema will open its doors at 7:30pm and the film will begin at 8pm.
What: the film “What America Needs” (1992-2003) 90 minutes (Super 8, Video)
When: March 12th at 8pm, doors at 7:30pm. Film at 8pm.
Where: Casket Cinema is located in the art studio of Mark Wojahn. The cinema is in the old Northwestern Casket Building, 681 17th Ave NE #145, Minneapolis, MN 55413, (612)568-3178.
Cost: Donation of $10-15 will go to support the filmmaker.
Special guests Special guests will be Matthew Bakkom, Casket Cinema Co-founder, Mark Wojahn and others TBD.
