WestiePit is a weekly West Coast Swing Dance going strong in the San Fernando Valley for over two years at the Burbank Moose Lodge with classes and social dancing - our next dance is on Tuesday, January 27th!!! This time we are proud to present our regional installment of the High Desert Dance Challenge Jack & Jill!Time:
Doors open - 7:30pm
Class - 8pm
Social dancing - 9pm to midnight
Jack & Jill sign up deadline: 10pm
Level 1: Beginners Class with Teveya West - Free drink ticket for attendees of this class! Wear preferably thin soled shoes you can spin in with a low or flat heel. No partner necessary.
Level 2: Beginning/Intermediate Class with Neil Joshi - must know west coast swing basics for this class
DJs: Tip & Mike
Music: Many genres! Including - Blues, R & B, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Pop, etc!
Ages: 18 and over only!!!
Admission: $15, includes the class and social dancing (West coast swing All -Stars and above with points in their division are our guests - must show WSDC points)
Bar: Yes!!! (no-host and very affordable!)
Dance floor: Yes - wood!!!
Parking: Free street parking

High Desert Dance Challenge Jack & Jill details:
Free to enter at WestiePit!!!!
-Novice through Advanced dancers ranked as per the World Swing Dance Council
-Maximum of 15 leads and 15 follows
--No choreography allowed, no costumes and both partners must keep at least one foot on the floor at all times
-1st-5th place receive Free Weekend Passes to High Desert Dance Classic 2026
-1st Place and 2nd Place eligible to compete in the High Desert Dance Challenge J&J on Saturday 3/7/26
-High Desert Dance Challenge J&J will offer $2000 in cash prizes and passes for places 1st - 5th place
-1st and 2nd place winners cannot enter any other contest that is offering the High Desert J&J Challenge Prelim
-3rd - 5th place winners:
-Will be alternates in the High Desert Dance Challenge J & J. For example, if the 2nd place leader cannot attend High Desert Dance Classic – the 3rd place leader would be entered to compete in the High Desert Dance Classic J&J.
-Can compete in another contest that is offering a High Desert J&J Challenge Prelims
