The Westalee Sampler Set is one of Angie’s favourite and most used template collections. 6 super-versatile shapes that work fabulously together and individually as Angie has shown in a number of her quilting patterns. (Jewel Quilt, Fiesta, Ruler Roll and Petal Power)
A natural next step from the beginners Starter Day, this workshop is designed to help you get the most from the Sampler Set (6 rulers). Angie will guide you through best practice for each of the rulers and share numerous design options to explore over time.
You will also learn about marking out for accuracy and how to best manage a quilt on a domestic sewing machine.
With hands-on guidance and encouragement your confidence and knowledge will grow quickly, enabling you to explore and stitch out your our own designs in no time.
This workshop is NOT suitable for absolute beginners of Westalee Ruler work. Basic machine set up will not be covered. You should be comfortable fitting the Ruler Foot to your machine and able to stitch a basic straight line and curve as a minimum requirement.
If you are able to, Angie advises attending both the Beginners Starter Day and Sampler Set Taster Day consecutively rather than with a break for faster development.
